Hi, I’m Christopher Drozdick

Born into a family immersed in music, Chris embarked on his musical journey at the age of six with piano lessons, igniting a lifelong passion for exploration and creativity. By age eight, he joined his elementary school orchestra as a French horn player, later expanding his repertoire to include guitar and percussion at ages twelve and sixteen, respectively.

Chris pursued his musical education at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, majoring in Music Education with a focus on percussion under the guidance of Fred Buda. Throughout his four years at university, Chris delved into a diverse range of instruments, including clarinet, coronet, and cello, while actively composing and performing in the Lowell and Boston, MA music scenes. His involvement in various ensembles spanned genres from folk to progressive rock and jazz.

With decades of experience teaching private music lessons to students aged 6 to 67, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to his instructional approach. Additionally, he spent two years as the Music Program Coordinator and Instructor at a Montessori preschool, further nurturing his passion for music education. Since relocating to Colorado in 2002, Chris continues to thrive as a dedicated musician, teacher, performer, composer, and recording artist across a spectrum of instruments, embodying his lifelong commitment to the art of music.
